[razorskiss666]: not my best topic, but theoretically, anything could exist on another plane of reality

[Master Wolf]: but how do you define another plane of reality? As another possibility that our choices have made obsolete for this one? Or simply another depth of meaning? Or perhaps our perceptions create individual planes of reality that touch only briefly...

[razorskiss666]: well, my definition for a plane of reality is a place where the spiritual and/or the psyche reside. probably not the best way of putting it, but basicall, anywhere that is bound by the power of nature and/or perceived by a beings psyche. idk, really complex to put into words, and im doing a terrible job of it, but you get the general idea of what im saying?

[razorskiss666]: alway a possibility, but at the same time, i would say if that was so, we create them through our subconcious to represent the parts of our mind we normally dont want to listen to. but beings from another dimension, plane, or form of reality is always a possibility. or maybe a strange combination...

[Kit Azhure]: yes but if the 'angels or demons' are thought to be ruled by someone or thing its not a real pagan belief. only if they serve only one thing for instance a muse, she or he serves all not just the good or bad it serves all

[Master Wolf]: If you read the ancient texts on them, there were no such things as Demons. Angels were warriors for God, serving Its purpose in all things. They were messangers and healers, but also warriors and instruments of destruction.

[Angel of Shadows]: There wasn't even a Devil until the New Testament was written. Originally Satan was an obstacle that people had to pass through in order to follow the correct path. He was the trickster, like Loki, and satanic only meant evil later on in its history. Originally it just meant more allong the lines of problematic or troublesome.

[Angel of Shadows]: I find the whole idea of angels and demons pretty interesting. I'm not sure if they are exactly what we describe them to be, but I believe that they are real. Just... Spirits that we can sometimes encounter in our own reality. *shrugs* I'd like to think that our planes sometimes comingle with each other, both being able to communicate or witness each other from time to time. Who knows, we may be the angels of another reality

[Angel of Shadows]: Beliefs are an important part of our lives. Our world is constructed by them. It's a pity that some cannot tolerate a belief they think is wrong and have to kill for it

[Angel of Shadows]: Yeah, and other types of discrimination mixing with it can get rather messy as well

[Angel of Shadows]: We are nothing but animals, no matter what our hearts tell us. To think anything else is wrong. We can rise above the animalistic urges, but for some the pleasure of it is just too great

[Kit Azhure]: but we never should have suppressed the urges think about it we are the only species EVER to destroy what nutures us. We take and take and take and give nothing back

[Angel of Shadows]: You ask what's wrong with being animalistic and then weep over the thousands of bodies that are piling up every day. You gaze in horror at the mangled bodies of people, shun those who have done these things and lock them up. Cannibals are thought of as disgusting, as are any people who decide to rape a woman instead of looking for consent.... being animalistic is in our nature, yet we are taught to rebel against it and we instinctfully fear those who have succumbed to those urges

[*~`Lady of Avalon`~*]: I don't weep for though who are gone if any thing I envy them but I will not rush death by takeing my life and be side I think if we acted more like our primle selves than we would have less problems

[Kit Azhure]: yes Angel you have a point but the other point is less people would make it to the point of those actions do to natural selection. Also if we were more animalistic well we wouldnt have those problems... think about it in a herd or pack or flock each has there own none are taken against their will and if there is none for one they leave and join with another its called respect... what humans lack... animals respect each other and themselves. For instance they only kill when they need to survive... unlike us who kill because we need a weeks supply of meat instead of buying it only when we need it... we think of the future and the past and ignore the present where as animals live mostly....

[Kit Azhure]: in the present. They may have shorter lives but they are healthier and live every day to the best of its potential they accept death instead of fearing it... in some regards we should try to be more like animals

[Angel of Shadows]: Granted, there might be that, but embracing the animal might also embrace destruction of some of the wonders society has to offer us. The ones who have thrown off all animalistic desires can find true beauty in art and education and such, but they are also missing a great part of themselves. Man is an animal, yes, but an intelligent one. There needs to be balance, or chaos will ensue.

[Angel of Shadows]: Yes, you do have a point there. Animals working in a pack do do a good job of keeping things together. But killing only when survival is necessary isn't always true. Take Jane Goodall (I think that's her name) and her study of the chimps. The chimps lived peacefully for several years, when one day, they snapped and started killing each other. Wolves will kill each other when fighting over being the leader of a pack, and that isn't totally necessary for their survival.

[Kit Azhure]: on the wolf killing, only if there are enough adults to feed the pack or pups. and in answer to ur first comment if we had remained animalistic aids or other incurable diseases never would have come about because population controll would be done throung natural selection, though it could be argued that incurable diseases are natural selection

[Angel of Shadows]: Disease has always been a problem, some of them thought to be incurable. Take smallpox for instance. People thought that was incurable, but a vaccine was discovered for it. I like to think in time there will be a cure for AIDs, because that isn't natural selection, it's just a virus. Once you have it, there's no hope for you unless you can afford the meds. Disease is a part of life, however, and I do agree that we are a bit too removed from the natural selections. People are destroying the very air they breathe, the very ground they stand on, and they don't care. We are weak, lazy and selfish, and we could all use a good heap of reality.

[Kit Azhure]: Ah but thats one of the problems ur reality isnt necessarily my reality and reality is compromised by greed and money if we werent so materialistic the human race would be better off

[Angel of Shadows]: Materialism is utterly horrible. People are unhappy, and try to solve that unhappiness by passing around little slips of paper, who are rather indifferent and do nothing to help the situation

[Angel of Shadows]: Glad we can finally do that. Heh... feel like I've been arguing against everyone all night, including myself
